XSplit Broadcaster Public Beta 1.3 (Core: 1.3.1306.1103) Released June 13, 2013

With every new release we do our best to bring value to the table, both in terms of bug fixes and inclusion of features requested by the community and partners. We aim to ship every release faster and more stable while including new features without introducing more complexity.

We look forward to your feedback and hope that this version can help you do more and do better with XSplit.

Improvements:

  1. Improved Chroma key with autodetection and fewer settings (see our 1.3 beta blog post)
  2. Faster loading time - most users should experience from 10 to 12 seconds loading time (and we’re not done yet)
  3. Improved performance of OGL capture in some games

  2. XSPLIT-274 - MultiWriter crashes while re-configuring parameters with CBR
  3. XSPLIT-459/CPPCORE-92 - XSplit freezes on selected h263 based video files
  4. XSPLIT-252 - Scene switching can cause a source file to move to the selected scene, and eventually an exception (Special and rare cases where scene shift is fast, multiple video files are use in one scene AND many 3rd party filters are installed)
  5. XSPLIT-300 - During loading, tutorial can show up in a glimpse even on scene which has content
  6. 4939 - Exception on splash screen when logging in and logging out multiple times may cause XSplit to crash (only happens if you do it over and over)
  1. 4295 - Downloading/installing multiple source plugins at the same time causes erratic download progress and failed hash check.  
  2. 3521 - Adding XSplit Broadcaster as a camera source in MS Expression Encoder causes MSEE to crash
  3. 4956 - Restarting local recording with the AVerMedia hardware encoder after re-enabling the automatic resolution change can result in freezes of XSplit in rare cases (we still need to investigate this more)
    XSPLIT-332 - Runtime error while attempting to go live on second channel during connection loss.     If internet connection is lost for a longer period of time during broadcast and “record to local file“ is enabled then same error may occur.
  4. XSPLIT-418 (ontime 5089) - Video playback position on the mixer does not show correctly if XSplit installation path has special characters
  5. 4944 - Announce to Twitter fails when different character sets (e.g. Japanese/Chinese) are used
  1. XXXX - On some systems, Encoding with Avermedia c985 encoder may slow XSplit mixer to 26 fps even if it is set to 30 fps (We are working with Avermedia to find a solution for this)
  2. XXXX - Roxio capture is not as smooth as it should be (capture is rendered at lower FPS) (experienced by some users depending on system configuration) Workaround: This Issue only seems to be encountered when running on Intel HD 3000/4000 internal graphics adapter. If you experience this problem try Tool -> General settings-> Enable Optimized render
  3. XSPLIT-480 - Autocrop problem with small screen and large resolution

Low

  1. 4925 - Out of memory exception occurs when switching languages multiple times (many many times)
  2. 3904 - Microphone and Speaker volume interface does not show as "Disabled" when no device is present
  3. 4577 - Optical audio for Hauppauge Colossus and HD PVR is not supported (For verification)
  1. 5004 - "Optimize window capture" fails on 16-bit mode
  1. 4889 - Changing to "Y8" Color Space/Compression causes BSoD for Hauppuage USB-Live2 device (Observed with USB-Live2 driver: 2/9/2011)
  2. XSPLIT-129 - BSOD if capturing a Screen Region with NVIDIA Surround enabled. Requires 2 graphics cards and 3 monitors to reproduce. We’re expecting a driver fix.
  3. XSPLIT-249 - Some A/V encoding settings for plugins are not retained
  4. XSPLIT-254 - Location for recorded files isn't retained after install/uninstall
  5. XSPLIT-395 - New features in 1.3 are synced to older builds
  6. XSPLIT-398 - Missing RTMP URL information on B/W Test Log
  7. XSPLIT-486 - Gamesource will freeze if constantly using Hotkeys to same scene (Freeze happens over time)
  8. XSPLIT-500 - Some ingest location entries can be replicated when switching between JTV and Twitch accounts
  9. XSPLIT-513 - Facebook login page freezes when trying to cancel login
  10. XSPLIT-509 - Twitch stream key disappears and replaced by password after Announcement authentication
  11. XSPLIT-504 - "View my Wall" link when announcing to Facebook not working
  12. XSPLIT-507 - JTV/Plugin does not immediately open to edit mode when API server is down

Postponed

  1. 4888 - Changes to the "Screen Resolution" or "Resize method", or both, is not saved when logging off or exiting from XSplit (Currently it works as designed)
  2. XSPLIT-348  - Broadcast plugins do not resume “record to local file” after a connection was lost and re-established .
  3. 4396 - Local Recording plugin may produce unplayable files when recording target is a network drive and network connection gets interrupted during recording.
  1. 4567 - XSplit hangs with IP camera source when IP camera source is down/unreachable or when network cable gets unplugged. Workaround: During IP camera initialization or when you delete IP camera or change scene, it is possible to hold Escape key and IP camera will be interrupted.
